Shining [NOR] - German Tour Dates Postponed
Norwegian avant-garde metallers Shining had to postpone the German leg of their current tour. Here it is the official message: "We are very sorry to inform you that we're postponing the three upcoming German dates in November. These concerts will be moved to 2012. Please contact the local promoter for a refund of tickets. Sorry for the hassle. It was out of our control. The rest of the tour is being held as planned."

Akphaezya - Sign With Code666 Records

French Avantgarde metallers Akphaezya have inked a new album deal with code666 (part of the Aural Music Group). The band formed in 2002 to create music without boundaries and released their first demo in 2004 called Akphaezya - Anthology II: Links From The Dead Trinity, finally releasing their first full length album effort in 2008 on Ascendance/Candelight Records with worldwide critical acclaim.
Akphaezya guitarist Stephan H. commented on the new deal: "We are very proud to work with a cult label like Code666. The new album Anthology IV: The Tragedy Of Nerak which is mastered by Brian Gardner (Down, Lamb Of God, Queens Of The Stone Age...) will be released in March 2012."
Code666's Emiliano Lanzoni stated: "Akphaezya are crazy, in the good way. I enjoyed their debut album, but when I received the new songs I was blown away: this is really top notch avantgarde metal: what Code666 is renowed for."
Akphaezya are now working on the artwork and video for the new album, titled Anthology IV: The Tragedy Of Nerak and scheduled for March 2012 on Code666.

Borknagar - Part Ways With Drummer

Borknagar have decided to part ways with the US drummer David Kinkade. This is first and foremost due to the logistical challenges we have been facing having a US drummer in a Norwegian band the last couple of years. Sometimes reality bites and in order to be a fully operative band, we need a drummer based in Norway. The split is of friendly manner and we would like to say thanks for everything David has contributed with in relations to the band and we would also like to wish him the best of luck for his future endevours.
Borknagar is currently finishing up the recording of the 9th. album which is planned to be released early next year. As we speak Vintersorg and ICS Vortex are working on the vocal arrangements and we are all exited about the new effort we currently are brewing. The album will be mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren in Fascination Street Studio later this years.

The deluxe re-issue of Death's legendary Individual Thought Patterns album is streaming online now at this location. The follow-up album to Human, Individual Thought Patterns has been remixed by Alan Douches and re-packaged to include a second and third bonus disc worth of previously unreleased demos and a full live set recorded in Germany during a 1993 European tour. Also included on the third bonus disc exclusive to this re-issue are rare riff tracks from the Chuck Schuldiner archives.
Individual Thought Patterns is available today in North America (on October 28th in the Benelux/Germany, and October 31st in the UK and rest of Europe) as a deluxe 3-disc set, a 2-disc standard set, and a deluxe digital download. CD orders with an extensive line of exclusive Death merch are available here, with the digital version available via iTunes here.

The leatherswept members of Deathstars are getting ready for the release of their new video "Metal" and their "Greatest Hits On Earth" collection (release: November 4, 2011).
The band is also proud to present their new drummer Vice (aka Oscar Leander/Crescendolls). Vice replaces Bone W. Machine who split ways with Deathstars in 2010. "I'm really excited to be a part of Deathstars and I really feel that my drumming complements Deathstars music in a perfect way", says Vice.
Nightmare Industries adds: "With this addition to our band our recordings and live shows will deliver more energy than ever before. We are really pumped up about the future!"
Make sure to catch Deathstars live on tour with Rammstein or on one of their headlining shows in November and December 2011. The brand new single "Metal" is now available for digital download on iTunes!
