Manchester atmospheric black metal act Winterfylleth has sad news to share. They have announced the departure of guitarist Mark Wood. He decided to leave the band to focus on his personal life and other musical projects. For the immediate future, the band is continuing and have a close friend stepping up to fill in for Mark on the tour with Primordial and at Blastfest/Hammerfest, etc.
After the highly acclaimed tour with Kreator and Arch Enemy in the end of 2014, Vader are ready to hit the stages in Europe once again. These Polish death metal maniacs will be headlining several dates across the old continent, where they will be supported by their fellow countrymen Hate and special guests. Kiss has collaborated with the Japanese pop group Momoiro Clover Z on a new single, to be released on January 28th. The track "Yumeno Ukiyo Ni Saitemina" was composed by Kiss guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley and Greg Collins, with lyrics written by Yuho Iwasato. Momoiro Clover Z performs the song, with Kiss providing background vocals and instruments. It will be released in two versions, "Momoclo Edition" and "Kiss Edition", via iTunes in 120 countries. The psychedelic blues rock group Blues Pills have announced the release of a special and very limited live album, entitled Blues Pills Live. The album was recorded during the band's headlining show at last year's Freak Valley Festival which marked a special event for the band. At the end of last year, The Sirens, a collaboration between singers Liv Kristine (ex-Theatre Of Tragedy, Leaves' Eyes), Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering, The Gentle Storm) and Kari Rueslåtten (The 3rd And The Mortal), did some shows around Europe performing material from their past bands and also their solo careers. They also released two songs that they performed live in these shows. Now the trio is at again and just released a new video for their new track "Fearless". Level 10 is a new musical alliance featuring vocalist Russell Allen (Symphony X, Adrenaline Mob) and bassist/singer Mat Sinner (Primal Fear, Sinner). The group has previously released a song from their debut album, "Blasphemy" and now offer another one. Porcupine Tree's drummer Gavin Harrison (also in King Crimson and with a solo career) will release a new album, Cheating The Polygraph, on Kscope in early April featuring surprising new arrangements of many of his favourite Porcupine Tree songs, boasting performances from some of the world's best contemporary jazz players. The last six bands have been confirmed for France's Hellfest 2015. They are: L7, Cavalera Conspiracy, Hawk Eyes, Monarch, Motionless In White and We Are Harlot. The running order with the schedule will be revealed a bit later. This will be the tenth edition of the festival which takes place at Clisson, France from June 19th-21st, 2015.
Born Of Osiris are hard at work on the follow-up to 2013's album Tomorrow We Die ∆live. The deathcore group plans to begin the recording sessions in February to track their next album. Meanwhile, the band's drummer Cameron Losh has released a short clip of some new music, which you can check out here.
