Swedish thrashers The Haunted have been confirmed as main support for Killswitch Engage on their European tour, set to take place January-February 2007.
As a result, The Haunted will be forced to postpone the majority of its previously announced European headline dates. "Don't worry, we're not canceling ? just postponing," the band says in a statement. "Look out for new headline dates later in 2007."

As some of you probably already knew, Moonspell won MTV Europe's award for Best Portuguese Act last week, competing with multi-platinum Hip - Hop and Pop bands. This is the first time in history that a Metal band has won this award! The band has issued the following statement online:

"We won MTV Euro awards for best Portuguese act and wish to dedicate it to all people around the world who voted for us and helped Moonspell to become a stronger band and Portuguese Metal more known to the abroad scene! Thank you a million moons!!!"

Decrepit Birth comment, "Fuck... just got the news from UL, the January European tour has been cancelled. The booking company called off the tour due to the fact that dates were not getting finalized and time was running out. I'm really bummed, we were getting ready... and I guess we won't be there for a while, probably 'till we finish recording our next CD. well, gives us more time to really focus on the new album...
