Andorran progressive melodeath group Persefone are revealing both the cover artwork and the song titles of the upcoming album, Aathma, which is the band's 5th release. The album includes (amongst others) a 20 minute title track! Aathma set for release on February 24th, 2017 through Vicisolum Records, will feature Cynic's Paul Masvidal, appearing on the song "Living Waves", as well as doing spoken vocals on the intro of the album.

Persefone, the band from Andorra, just announced that their fifth album will be released on the 24th of February 2017 and will be called Aathma. The successor of Spiritual Migration will contain 10 new songs and it's mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street. The artwork is once again created by Travis Smith. Also, Persefone has announced the 2017 European Aathma tour.

This will be their fifth studio album, the follow-up to the excellent Spiritual Migration (nominated in Metal Storm Awards 2013) and the first with the new drummer Sergi "Bobby" Verdeguer.

Persefone have a new drummer! They have welcomed Sergi "Bobby" Verdeguer to the band and he will take care of drums replacing Marc Mas Marti who left last year. He is the drummer of progressive band Nami, also from Andorra, and he has been a great friend of the band for years.

After eight years, Persefone will re-release their first album Truth Inside The Shades in early April. As an addition, they have included "The Haunting Of Human's Denial" bonus track added on the Japanese edition released back in 2004, and also the first song that the singer Marc Martins sang with Persefone. The artwork has been revisited by Alberto Sánchez Ballesteros.

Persefone will re-release their classic album Core worldwide on April 18th through ViciSolum Records. The album has been sold out for years and many fans have requested that the band would re-release it. Kolony Records has signed Andorrean symphonic death metal band Persefone to release bands third album Shin-Ken in early February 2010.

Shin-Ken album is based upon ancient Japanese war-stories, and it's a tour de force, down the melodic and symphonic death metal style that defines todays Persefone.

The album was mixed and mastered at Jailhouse studios (Helloween, Hatesphere, Illdisposed) by Tommy Hansen in April 2009.
