Tommy Karevik, better known as the vocalist and songwriter for Seventh Wonder announced on his Facebook profile that he will no longer be a part of the band, and that parties will remain musically active apart. Karevik joined Seventh Wonder in 2005 and later Kamelot in 2012.

Finnish melodic death metallers Brymir will release their third full-length album, Wings Of Fire, on March 8th worldwide via Ranka Kustanuus. The band had already published the first single off their new album, "Ride On, Spirit", back in late 2018, which you can listen to here. The album was produced in its entirety by singer Viktor "Storm" Gullichsen along with the band itself.

Italian symphonic metallers Teodasia have announced that they parted ways with their vocalist Giacomo Voli (who since moved on to become Rhapsody Of Fire's full-time vocalist, after the departure of Fabio Lione), guitarist Alberto Melinato and female vocalist Chiara Tricarico. The band had already announced the new guitarist, Matteo "Bras" Frare, and has yet to unveil the name of their new vocalist. The band did, however, release multiple statements regarding a new album being in the works with the new line-up.

It took a couple of years for it to happen, but the revamped Italian storytellers Rhapsody Of Fire have just unveiled the name of the upcoming album, which will be their first album to feature new songs with their new vocalist Giacomo Voli and drummer Manu Lotter, after the departure of legendary vocalist Fabio Lione and drummer Alex Holzwarth back in late 2016. The new album will be titled The Eighth Mountain, and it will be first chapter of the band's next epic saga, "The Nephilim's Empire". This release will be accompanied by a European tour, starting in Barcelona, Spain on February 21st, 2019. The Eighth Mountain will be released a day later, on February 22nd, 2019 via AFM Records.

In the midst of their farewell tour, The Final Battle World Tour, Karl Logan, Manowar's guitarist since 1994, has been arrested and bonded out for "the offense of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor", as reported by Mike Walters, TMZ's former news director, on his new celebrity news agency, The Blast. Logan was arrested on August 9th in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was given a $35,000 bail to which he bonded out. Manowar has yet to respond publicly to the arrest.

Norwegian progressive metal act Conception, most commonly known as Roy Khan's (ex-Kamelot) first band alongside guitarist and songwriter Tore Østby (ex-Ark, ex-D.C. Cooper), bassist Ingar Amlien (Crest Of Darkness) and drummer Arve Heimdal (ex-Crest Of Darkness, GLOW), reformed earlier this year, to release a brand new EP, twenty-one years after the band disbanded. Now Conception finally unveil the artwork and release date of the first single off of the EP, suitably titled Re:conception. The single will be released on November 2nd, 2018. Japanese phenomenon Babymetal have shared on their official website that one of the band's three singers, Yui Mizuno, better known by her stage name 'Yuimetal', has decided to leave the band permanently after a prolonged time off from the band, reportedly due to a health concern, which caused her to temporarily step-down from her live Babymetal responsibilities. The band stated they had prepared and planned ahead of her return, however she expressed her desire to resign from the band.

Stryper's guitarist Oz Fox had recently suffered a seizure on stage while performing at Las Vegas on August 11th. This situation made some rumours regarding Fox's condition come to surface, but now the band unleashed a full statement regarding Fox's state through the Frontiers Music Srl's Facebook page. Fox had been Stryper's guitarist ever since the band's inception back in the early 80's, but due to the severity of his health, Stryper will play the remaining Australian tour as a trio, while Fox will get the proper treatment for his condition.

In rather shocking news that came in from the Faroese Týr camp, it seems that the long-time guitarist Terji Skibenæs decided to leave the band to pursue other musical interests. According to a Facebook post by Terji, there was no drama between him and the remaining members of Týr and he explained the reason of his departure as not having fun playing this type of music anymore. Skibenæs' last concert with the band will be Sabaton Open Air Festival, to be held in Falun, Sweden. Attila Vörös from Hungary will be take Terji's place.

It has been evident that Roy Khan, former Conception and Kamelot vocalist and songwriter is back in the music business after a few years of hiatus. After many rumours have surfaced the internet, it was Conception that officially announced their return to activity after being disbanded for 21 years. The news were exposed by Roy Khan and guitarist Tore Østby themselves on the new Conception Facebook page, and it appears the band is returning as a quartet, along with bassist Ingar Amlien and drummer Arve Heimdal.

Israeli proggresive metallers Subterranean Masquerade have finally made it clear that Nowegian vocalist Kjetil Nordhus and drummer Matan Shmuely are no longer band members, and announced their replacements: drummer Yalon Schori and vocalist Davidavi Dolev (Omb, Reign Of The Architect). The reasons for the line-up change are Shmuely's responsibility and busy schedule with Orphaned Land and Nordhus' "private commitments and new plans with his re-united Green Carnation."
