Arch Enemy - UK Tour Postponed

Arch Enemy has released the following statement about the postponement:

"Sorry to all our great UK fans, but the tour we had scheduled for next week has unfortunately been postponed 'til November 2010.

As we all know, it's been a tough time in Europe with the volcanic ash shutting down airspace in 23 countries and causing travel misery for millions of people. One minute airports are open - the next they are not. We are determined to make these shows work but don't want to disappoint our fans, so it has been mutually agreed upon that the best way forward is to postpone the UK dates 'til November."

We'd like to thank all of the promoters who took on the shows, and also the support bands ? everything was shaping up very nicely and their professionalism is obvious. We appreciate their willingness to make these shows happen later in 2010 and we're more eager than ever to do so.

It's important to make it clear that this is not a cancellation ? we just have to move the tour to a different time.

Sorry again to all who planned to attend. Hope to see you in November!"

The new and only UK Arch Enemy dates for 2010 are:

November 23 - Manchester @ Academy 2

November 24 - Glasgow @ Garage

November 25 - Wolverhampton @ Wulfrun Hall

November 27 - London @ The Forum

(w/ Sabbat)

All tickets will remain valid for the new dates.

Zebediah Crowe - Announce Release Date

Press Release

Zebadiah Crowe Unveils UK Release Date.

Following the Funeral Nation tour headlined by Marduk and Anaal Nathrakh, UK based Black Metal band, Zebadiah Crowe, will release their new album in the UK on March 1, 2010.

The new album entitled: Grawl! The Many Deaths Of The Great Beast is Zebadiah Crowe's third release. The album was produced and recorded in the UK by Zebadiah Crowe's most infamous member, "The Horrid". The cover art design was done by artist Adrian Smith who has showcased his talent on Sci Fi and horror book covers all over the world, most notably The Black Library.

Grawl! The Many Deaths Of The Great Beast will be released by North American Extreme Metal label and global distributor Apocrypha Recogreerds.

When asked about signing with Apocrypha Reocrds, The Horrid jokingly commented: "If Apocrypha has deemed it fit to go ahead with such a foolhardy judgment and feel they can deal with the fallout of adding a band like us to their roster... well... on there heads be it!"

John MacMurphy, who manages Apocrypha Records commented: "We are very excited about adding Zebadiah Crowe to our roster. The new album they produced is absolutely incredible! Between the polyrhythmic drumming, the different layers incorporated and the thick yet polished guitar tones, Grawl! The Many Deaths Of The Great Beast explores the more brutal side of Black Metal ."

The new album will initially be available at HMV, Amazon UK and Play. Shortly thereafter, it will make its way to local music shops and other retailers.

Further information about Zebadiah Crowe and Grawl! The Many Deaths Of The Great Beast can be found at:

DragonForce - Spinefarm To Re-Issue First Two Albums

First two albums to be re-issued with bonus audio/DVD content on February the 22nd 2010 via Spinefarm Records UK.

Both titles will now be available with updated packaging and bonus audio/DVD content, some of it exclusive to these releases...

Formed in 1999, DragonForce issued their "Valley Of The Damned" debut in 2003 - an impressive nine-track showcase for their accomplished power metal forays. Containing a host of songs that still rank amongst the most popular of their output, the likes of "Black Fire", "Evening Star" and the title track itself, "VOTD" has now been Remixed and Remastered to allow every aspect of the recordings to make maximum impact...

"Fans who have heard the original mixes many times might find that the songs sound a bit different now," observes guitarist Herman Li, "but that's how we always wanted the original songs to sound. We just didn't have the time back then to make everything sound the way we wanted."

The studio track, "Where Dragons Rule", has now been added to the audio side, and there is a bonus DVD featuring never-before-seen live footage ('Valley Of The Damned', filmed in Japan), behind-the-scenes material (also from Japan), video commentaries, plus in-studio interviews and clips (shot in Denmark & the UK), all of it lovingly assembled by Li himself.

2004 saw the release of the follow-up album, "Sonic Firestorm", which gave the band the chance to hone their skills and push their fast-lane tales of fantasy to a whole new level. They were happy with "Sonic..." at the time and remain so to this day, which is why the mixing and the mastering have been left just as they are; however, the packaging has been upgraded, an extra track added ("Cry Of The Brave" - a song the group felt uncomfortable taking off first time around), and - as with "Valley..." - a bonus DVD added, this one featuring live footage from Japan ("Fury Of The Storm"), video commentaries plus freshly recorded interviews with the band members themselves.

As a way of celebrating the recordings that effectively launched DF's international career, both re-issued albums will be included in a limited edition box along with exclusive band merchandise and various exclusive collectable items (1 x T-Shirt / 1 x Plectrum / 1 x inflatable guitar).

Detrimentum - Seek Bass/Vocalist

Detrimentum seeks bass/vocalist to complete line-up:

Current members:
Jonathan Butlin - Guitar
Paul Wilkinson - Guitar
Steve Powell (Anaal Nathrakh live drummer) - Drums

We are searching for a bass/vocalist to complete the line-up as a 4 piece.

We have recently finished writing 8 tracks (guitars only) for our second album.

Our aim is to focus on recording the album this year as professionally as possible and we're currently looking at the studios Bolt Thrower and Vader have recorded their recent albums in.

The right person will be able to contribute bass lines/lyrics for the album.

Vocals styles preferred are varied black/death metal mix. We're open minded to singing in styles similar to Opeth.

Any location is ok but must have transport and decent bass equipment.
We currently rehearse twice a month in the Birmingham area.

After the album is recorded/released we will be looking at touring with big named bands to support the album.

Zyklon - Split Up

Message posted on the band's official myspace page today:

After taking an offical break over two years ago, it has now become the reality that Zyklon is no longer a functional band, and thus the decision is made to formaly split up the band, instead of just letting it decend into nothingness.
As a final release from the band, Candlelight Records will later this year put out a boxset, entitled "The Storm Manifesto", including all three full-length albums with various bonus material. Zyklon played its final show in Tokyo, Japan on the 28th of September 2007.

All members of Zyklon are still active on various fronts. Samoth is currently in the studio working on the debut album for his new project, The Wretched End. Destructhor is still touring with Morbid Angel, and is still planning to complete a new Myrkskog album with Secthdamon. Trym is mainly working in his tattoo shop, but is scheduled to appear in a new music project soon.

Christopher Lee - To Release Metal Album

Sir Christopher Lee is to become Christopher Cheese once more.

The project is called Charlemagne. It is the story of King Charlemagne, First Holy Roman Emperor, acted and sung by the legendary actor Christopher Lee. Sir Christopher is the highest grossing actor of all time, with cinematic milestones such as "Lord Of The Rings", "Star Wars", "The Man with the Golden Gun" and "Dracula", amongst over 280 movies - and still counting!

The Carandinis, Lee's maternal ancestors, were given the right to bear the coat of arms of the Holy Roman Empire by the Emperor Frederick Barbarossa. Through his Carandini ancestors, Christopher Lee has a direct link to Charlemagne, and has decided for the first time in his life to pay homage to his distinguished ancestor, who is credited as "The Father of Europe".

Charlemagne is a concept album with original words and symphonic metal music.

Composer Marco Sabiu, best known for his collaborations with Kylie Minogue, Take That, Pavarotti, Morricone, has created a truly epic canvas by introducing modern metal symphonies, in a style which resembles a movie score. Marie-Claire Calvet, a graduate from Bristol University, transports the listener into "The Dark Ages", with a very powerful storyline and mesmerising lyrics. A full orchestra, heavy metal musicians, choir and special guest vocalists bring the legend of Charlemagne to life.

Sir Christopher Lee has also collaborated with Rhapsody Of Fire in the past, and lists his influences as: Manowar, Rhapsody Of Fire, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Hammerstein, Movie Scores and Symphonic Metal.

The album will be released on the 15th of March 2010.
