Incantation - Former Bassist Dies At Age 42
Former US death metal band Incantation bassist Joey "Fingers" Lombard passed away on January 3rd, 2012, at the age of 42. Lombard played with Incantation from 2001-2005.
Former Incantation drummer Kyle Severn stated: "Joey was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Joey had stepped up to the plate and joined John McEntee and myself back in 2000 to create some of Incantation's finest blasphemy to date! He stuck with us for five-plus long years of writing and traveling the death metal roads! He was an amazing musician and bass player. He had contributed more than most could imagine to the death metal scene. He had made many new friends through those years on the road; he was such a likable guy. I don't think he had a mean bone in his body. He will be truly missed."
Former Incantation bassist Roberto Lizárraga commented: "With a deep, deep sadness and gloom, I learned last night form my dear friend McEntee that our dear brother and loved friend, Joey, had decided to leave this world on his own... Everyone in the Incantation family is deeply saddened by this. Joey was a great, great guy, mellow, really sincere, calm, honest, and with a really big heart and an excellent musician. My dear brother, you are now in peace, the one you longed for. You will be deeply missed, thank you for everything dear friend... Till we meet again..."
