Proggers Pain Of Salvation have a couple of exciting things in store this year. First, the band will embark on a European tour in April which will be exclusively acoustic based. During the three weeks of dates, Pain Of Salvation will be joined by Dutch singer/songwriter Anneke Van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering) and Árstíðir from Iceland. Furthermore, the band will be heading out to tour in North America in May but the details are still under wraps for now.

The tour will coincide with Pain of Salvation's upcoming album release via InsideOutMusic, featuring newly recorded acoustic versions of hand picked Pain Of Salvation songs. More details about this special album project will be made public soon.

Wow, I hope the female vocals feature on the album as well and not just on tour.

And no Portugal again. I don't know why they hate us so much. So many tours and they only played here to open for Opeth. You could at least give us one headlining show, acoustic or otherwise. It pisses me off.

As usual, Europe means Central Europe only.
