Riot - New Album On The Way

Veteran American heavy metallers Riot have announced that they will release a yet-untitled new album next year via SPV/Steamhammer (in North America and Europe) and Avalon/Marquee (in Asia). This will be the first album without guitarist and founding member Mark Reale, who died in January 2012 due to complications of Crohn's disease. It is unclear whether the band will release the album under the name Riot or another name but it should be clarified soon.

The band posted on Facebook: "Riot: Chapter 5, Back for the Attack! Extensive press release coming soon as well as info and samples for the 2014 release on SPV/ Steamhammer (US, Euro) and Avalon/ Marquee (Asia)! Thank you fans for your support! Thank you Mark, this is for you and dedicated to you! Shine on Metal Warrior!"

I'm not sure releasing this under the Riot name is a good idea. Riot pretty much was Mark Reale, so I don't think it's a good idea to release the album under the Riot name.

Maybe they could release the album under the name "Thundersteel"?

(While I'm here, is anyone else reminded of what happened with Thin Lizzy here?)
