Technical death metal legends Pestilence released their most recent album Exitivm only eight-and-a-half months ago, but just announced via Facebook that they already have tracked down eight new songs for their next album, which according to the band will be titled Portals. No release date has been set at the moment.

On the direction of Portals, guitarist, vocalist and founding member Patrick Mameli commented: "We always strive to do the best but never rehashing or looking back too much! That has always been my goal. Is to re-invent my own style without copying. Most bands haven't even done half the experimenting we did."
