Drummer Michiel van der Plicht and the Dutch black metal band Carach Angren will go their separate ways, according to his Facebook statement. You can read his statement below. He was the band's live drummer since 2020.

Michiel van der Plicht explains his decision to part ways: ''I have decided to end my collaboration with Carach Angren. What made me eager to be the live drummer of CA in the first place was that they are a tight nit family creating music that fits me very well and I saw a lot of potential here. It has become apparent that this family is so tight nit, that I could never become a part of it and so the energy invested wouldn’t be used in the way I would like to see it. To be able to fully invest myself in the creative process and live performances, I need to be part of the band. You can’t be fully committed to something you’re not part of. The circumstances provided simply did not allow me to preform at the level that I want and need and so I have decided to move on and focus on my other bands and musical endeavors. I had a great time for the short run we had, I wish them all the best and thanks to CA, the fans, crew and bands we shared stages with. 🤘🏻''
