Varg has a new album out again, already?! Well, I guess I shouldn't underestimate Varg's ability to release exceptional music within a short time period ala Burzum, Det Som Engang Var, Hvis Lyset Tar Oss, Filosofem.

Heh, funny... Fopr me is the other way around. Belus was listenable at best, really crappy most of the time while Fallen has actually some interesting stuff going on. Not in the same level as the older cds but way better than Belus

Tastes differ once again.

Aye, Ima agree with you on this one. The song "Valen" is catchy as all hell, which is, IMO, a new thing for Burzum.

Jokes aside I found the song Jeg Faller to be pretty nice, almost beautiful which is imo new for Burzum. I specially liked the use of clean vocals on that one. Since his old style of vocals isn't near as good as they used to be... I can suggest Varg to use his clean vocals as much as he can

My opinion of him is that he was noob enough to let himself get caught by the police, despite the rumours of he wanting to get out of prison and moving into france for joinin' the LLN..
After that, i like some of his work but ain't really spiring at least for me.
I've seen his current photographies in his official website and heh, he has 'fallen' into what 'new' black metalheads are like, about paganism i don't really have much opinion because i haven't really read of it... the litle i have doesn't really catch my attention.

I cannot be bothered at all to check out Fallen. Even downloading it feels like way too much hassle. Am I missing out on something?

From what I've heard for now (need to buy for more detail) it's like Belus but a bit more varied (not alot of 8 minute-riff) and has some very very nice clean vocals. It has this "chilling out" feeling that I like.
So I think it might be worth it, specially if you bothered checking Belus before

It's way better than Belus, but still far from the level of his famous stuff (obviously). I kind of like it. The production is weird but I think it fits.
The thing I liked the most was easily the clean vocals, they got better. I almsot want Burzum to go full clean vocals.

Definitely better than Belus. It's brilliantly done. I love it. A few of the tracks are stuck in my head. Jag Faler and Valen, especially.

Now because even the definition of evil is relative thing I cant say that Varg is evil,although I think that his choice to kill was wrong.
BTW there are a few chatolic saints that were murderers (I cant remember names,or maybe I am wrong on this one ,correct me please if I am wrong).

It's certainly a great, classic black metal track - whether it's "the greatest black metal track of all time" is of course rather subjective, but it was particularly mindblowing back when the Hvis Lysett Tar Oss album was originally released.

Well, he somehow has a right to be arrogant, for he single-handedly led one of the greatest and most legendary (Whether through his music or through controversy, I'm not sure ) black metal acts on earth.
