Belive it or not ( hope I'm not the only one ) I NEVER, but realy never listen to lyrics, only music ( vocal important too ). I can only be rejected by some pathetic love text ( when I don't manage to ignore it ). That's the reason I don't listen to music in my language ( serbian ), because it's more difficult not to pay attention to the words. Like to create my own story for every song.

No, don't get me wrong!!! I have absolutely nothing against lyrics, I belive ( and read some, offcourse ) there are many with high quality, and not trying to say that it's stupid to pay attention to it. Just, I don't feel need for it, and never did, not just in metal, but in any kind of music that I listened ever. I read some lyrics of Iron Maiden,Pantera, Amorphis, Alice in Chains, Dream Theater, but still my first asociation stays the same and depends on music. I simply cannot realate to verbal part of music.

I consider Freak Kitchen's lyrics brilliant....not only they are amusing to listen to listen to, they also contain some serious messages, direct or subliminal. Mathias IA Eklundh also possesses a very clear way of expressing the song texts....
I also love Tyr's lyrics....especially the ones in Faeroese (although I don't understand them but the language sounds grand)...
What else....Nightwish also has some songs with beautiful lyrics such as "Angels Fall First", although many songs come with really complicated texts that are easily misheard and hard to dig....

Not my favorite band... but suicide silence when they stop the music and go...
