I'm probably going to sign up for an Egg one too that's for pick up the same location. Only $.50 more than supermarket eggs. I'd be crazy to not do that.
We grow our own vegetables and peaches but we know a friend with a cattle farm out here so we get from them but it’s not delivered, though that would be really nice
Well I've only heard a bit out of each band, but I'm going with Venom on this one because of their brutal lyrics & thrashy sound. Not to mention these guys came out with the album "Black Metal", so what does everyone else think?

Alright so who's your favorite Black Metal Band from the First Wave?
Someone tells me if Mayhem and Dissection are counted as well or nope? as they are my fav BM bands
I consider them both to be second wave, however mayhem's deathcrush album is much more first wave than anything else. It was released in 87, years before the 2nd wave, and it has more of a thrash/death sound then their later albums. I would consider this album to be the link between the waves, though it is mainly a first wave style it still has elements that would later come to define the 2nd wave.
Arguably the best band I have seen lumped into the first wave of black metal is German Poison, and especially their "Into The Abyss" album, although it is more death metal than black.

No idea which deaf persons lump them into first wave black but they were never considered first wave black at the time, thrash/death is where they are at.

I have seen them being called black metal in many places, for example wikipedia says that "Poison is often cited as one of the first black metal bands to use extreme fast tempos and blasting beats, along with Sarcófago and Mayhem, and was very important for what would end up as the second wave of black metal", and as I said, that is only one example, but I agree that thrash/death is a better description, especially for their later material. Their first demo "Sons Of Evil" is the one closest to black, and is often compared to Hellhammer.
Definitely Mercyful Fate. Bathory and Venom are pretty awful and Celtic Frost had one good first wave black metal album and then an okay album in Monotheist, but that doesn't really belong to the discussion since it's a different style.
