Well, overall no huge snubs (except Darkspace for me personally, but I could see it coming). I do hope Z² wins in only one category though, that one being 'Biggest Disappointment.' Big thumbs up to the staff. I'm gonna start listening to some of the stuff I missed, although that doesn't seem to be as much as other years, and maybe cast a few votes soon.

I'm a bit puzzled by the nomination of Slugdge in the "Sludge/Stoner" category as their is much less sludge than death/black in this album (in my humble opinion). Don't know if I am gonna take the time to listen to all the rest of this category, as I tend to dislike most stoner stuff. Anyway, as always, congratulations to the staff. This awards are always welcomed as they are my main way to discover quality albums.

The awards are finally here again, oh how I've longed! Time to delve into all of these (hopefully) wonderful albums I wouldn't otherwise have listened to and discover some real gems. Oh and by the way, whoever wrote the introductory text of this year's awards sure hit the nail on the head. Thank god I don't care about final results and that I am just excited to find some great new music

Glad to see that The Project Hate rant has been added in the Drama of the Year. The guy was annoying enough when he released his previous album but he reached a whole new level with this new one. While I do not completely hate it (though it is too long, the female vocals though gorgeous are badly handled), that onslaught of rants really pissed me off. If he could spend that anger and frustration on making better albums, that would be great... unfortunately the album did not live to the rants he spitted.

Emptiness and Slugdge should had gone in DM IMO. It's more fitting for their sound. Also, the banner of this year is too shitty  Could be taken from a power metal record cover :p
