Ok, I searched and I dont think I could find a topi to recommend/discuss thrash. Why Im posting this thread is because I must admit that there are very few thrash bands out there that dont bore me, these few would be bands like Megadeth, Sodom, and Kreator. I really enjoy Hybrid thrash though (thrash mixed with another genre) I.E. Keep Of Kalessin, black metal but highly thrash-like aswell. So particularly I would like to hear some recommendations on hybrid thrash, but feel free to recommend straight-up thrash aswell just to keep the topic open.

BTW- Please try and make the recommendations useful, dont recommend bands that Ive likely already heard, like Slayer or Metalica.

It doesn't really matter what you think about how its been structured its still thrash metal and you kind of chose the worse fucking example lol I mean c'mon then ur gonna tell me that because Striker sounds Powerish its not thrash !! VOID !!

Alright... I'm to lazy to think at the moment. Pantera's riffs simply don't come across as thrash metal riffs to me.

See now you put it the right way... cos wether you like their riffs or not the influence and sound of those albums are mainly Thrash. Don't transform opinions into facts. I still like you though Void

They've been drifting away from playing tech death for a while now. They're more like melo-death with some technical bits.

I've only heard Arsis' first album, which is fairly unique. Has a fairly thrashy vibe to it.

Random reccomendation, because seriously, these guys are awesome.

But then again a list which has an Acid Drinker's as one of the most essential thrash metal album I almost can't take seriously.
It's that the guy redeemed himself with Agent Steel, Anacrusis, Believer, Blind Illusion, Carnivore, Hades, Infernal Majesty, Nasty Savage, Sacrifice, Skyclad's first, Wargasm and some others. But there is a lot of crap on there as well.

YEah live performances are awesome but ya know I like their music, certainly not because of their complexity lol or their crazy thrash riffs but mostly because they'Re funny and I guess every type of metal has its funny band... and Gwar is the funny thrash band lol

Omg seriously guys look at this band from spain, called Crisix, I love them, even though the vocals
might sound a bit like some weird Crossover thrash squeals no matter I love it.

Also check out the new Dream Death album ! after 26 years of silence much...

I just stumbled upon a little known thrash band called Deathfall they are from the Netherlands and used to be called Rimmshot. They started as more of a hardcore band, but have morphed into a thrash/deathcore at times band. Their album Reborn is really awesome. Check them out!
