Definitely. From Mars To Sirius is there only great album, everything else is average to decent

Only bad Gojira album is Magma. Terra Incognita is amazing and showcases their fun side a bit more, The Link is their second best, Way of All Flesh is all over the Place but still has so many amazing songs on it that it still counts, L'Enfant Sauvage is different but they pulled the emotional touch off imo.

My opinion has changed since I made that post, I would say the last two albums were both bad, especially Sausage, which I think didn't work very well for trying something different.

Neurosis has a few that aren't up to par, the first one for example. Or Honor Found in Decay which is a great sleep medicine.

Wrong, the first one is really fun, and the second one is just as good. Honor Found In Decay is very over-hated. I have come to agree with you that The Eye is super overrated but it is not bad at all

There was a similar thread started some time ago, but had the "5 album minimum" threshold. feel that a better measure as most creative bands definitely seem to stagnate after the first couple releases.

Random bands I can think of right now: Leviathan, Armagedda, Black Funeral (maybe their old ambient stuff is something debatable) Craft, Graveyard (ESP), Vastum, Cattle Decapitation, Temple Nightside, Funeral Mist, Mare Cognitum, Revel In Flesh, Impetuous Ritual, Undergang...

Amorphis came to my mind, I would certainly call them the most consistent, I don't ever recall them doing a bad album. The albums midway through their career weren't as good tho, but still nothing bad, their latest two albums are amongst their best.

And the obvious one for me would be Death, not only have they never made a bad album, all of their albums are brilliant and just got better.

My Dying Bride, Mastodon, Insomnium, Marianas Rest, Cult of Luna. There must be many more I can't recall now.

Good old Sentenced. They even changed their style radically over the years, but still no bad albums. Even their old demos are really enjoyable.

Edit. Anathema is another similar case, no bad albums despite radical changes in style.

Marianas Rest is someone I will definitely give my vote. Listened to their whole discography recently. Not a single bad album their.

Enslaved, Esoteric, Tool for example.

TH said this already years ago, but definitely Enslaved. With such a lengthy discography, you could point to weak points in an album but the band has never failed to make an incredible release nonetheless. Just came to mind because I listened to their recent single. Fuckin' a, man.

KYPCK has been great for me so far.

If we're only gonna go with studio albums that all range from good to great, bands with smaller discographies have quite the advantage there. I'm gonna go with Death, Bolt Thrower and Agalloch.

Forgotten Silence's discography is an absolute mess, with each album sounding very different from the previous, and somehow all of them are great.

After listenening to all their albums it hit me there's not one bad song from Misery Index.

Deftones, American Head Charge, Isis, Modest Mouse

Bolt Thrower, Death, Emperor, Enslaved, Evoken, Gorguts, Insomnium, Moonsorrow, The Chasm

Arriving late to these discussions makes it quite challenging to introduce bands that haven't already been mentioned

I don't think Vektor was mentioned, and their records are definitely great all the way. The same goes for The Dillinger Escape Plan (metalcore alert), as they have a string of exceptional albums in their discography.

As for the rest, it's somewhat obvious, and they've been mentioned before, but they deserve recognition for their fantastic careers. These include Bolt Thrower, Death, Emperor, Enslaved, Gorguts, Moonsorrow, and Coroner.
