I thought it would be interesting to see which ones were the most popular amongst metalstormers. As I said, there are quite a bunch of them, so of course I could not list them all in the poll. If your favorite "fusion genre" is not listed in the poll and you are forced to choose the "other" option, do not hesitate. Please let us know in your post what your favorite is!
Personally, I have to choose death/thrash. I love bands like Demolition Hammer and Protector....and I would say Morbid Saint but people will start arguing again so I won't. I also like a lot of black/thrash like Toxic Holocaust, Witchery, Gospel of the Horns and Absu.
Stay heavy.

I voted for Power/Speed...although the black/death is very close to my taste...But in majority I prefer faster songs, so quick drums and a different kind of guitar riffs...the vocals doesn't realy matter (clean or growl...I like both  )...

Three-way tie for me - black/thrash (Gospel of the Horns, Destroyer 666 = excellent); folk/black (as long as the folk element isn't all gimmicky and naff); black/death (as long as the black element is the dominant one).

When I hear 'fusion', I think 70s Jazz-Rock. xD McLaughlin, DiMeola, Corea, etc. As far as metal goes, I have NO idea which one I like best.

A very difficult choice between death/doom and folk/black. For death/doom Swallow The Sun comes to mind, and for folk/black Bathory comes to mind (Blood Fire Death). Both are about equal for me so i just picked one, death/doom.

I voted for progressive/death because of bands like Into Eternity and Opeth, although its very hard to label these bands. But I could say death/doom as well, I listen to a lot of bands that may fit in that genre, like early Anathema and early Lacrimas Profundere, early Katatonia, curiously enough, all those bands chnged their original sound. Except for maybe My Dying Bride, this counting the bands I listen to.
