01. The Traces And Bits Of Former Passion
02. Congealed
03. Je Te Rends Ton Amour [M. Farmer's cover]

This is the news of the year 2005, Dryados is now a real band! Of course evidently the Russian combo was already a "real" band but now they have one more guitarist a bassist and a drummer so let's say that they have a classic line up now. Their first album "L'Amour N'Enleve Pas Vraiment La Dépression" was already excellent and when you know that the band used to play with a bit box in the past this is evidently just better now. No doubt Dryados is a good band.

The band still plays Symphonic Black Metal and a good one believe me, but even if we only have three songs on this demo (actually two original ones and a cover) its easy to see that the "new" instruments give something more to the music of Dryados. I cannot give a lot of feedbacks on this release, with only two new songs it's not really easy but it's still a really beautiful melancholic Symphonic Black, really dark but really poetic too and if the band follows this way of composition be sure that we will hear about them soon.

About the production we have a good demo that is, even if it is self-released, really well recorded. You must know that you have in addition a lot of pictures of the band, a good video live and finally a cover of the French Pop singer? Mylène Farmer. It's funny to see this Black Metal cover because in France even if she is a real star, she is not someone who is really linked with Rock n Roll and evidently Metal. But I must confess that a lot of her songs are really dark, so why not?

I cannot avoid this comparison one more time but if you like good Symphonic Black bands like Anorexia Nervosa you cannot miss Dryados. This Demo proves that the band is still progressing and maybe that they will have the luck to be signed soon now. And by the way, since that Anorexia Nervosa lost its singer I'm sure that you need something to "replace" them right? So why don't you try Dryados?
