"Ride Me In Hell" is the new demo of Boneshaker, a band from the south of France which come from a city really near of my hometown by the way (ok, enough of this personal uninteresting anecdotes). They play Hard Rock and their first influence is the legendary AC/DC, and you know what? It will be easy for you to hear that the band love the Aussies, yes the music of Boneshaker is a real cool Hard Rock.

"Ride Me In Hell" is a nice demo. The recording is really good and the four songs are all nice. If you like aggressive Hard Rock, if you like bluesy guitars, if you like catchy Rock N Roll riffs, this demo was probably made for you. That's right you'll not find anything new with this band and their music but trust me, they know how to play (and write) good Hard Rock which will please all the nostalgic of the 70's and 80's.

The only problem for me with "Ride Me In Hell" is that the songs are all a bit similar. Of course they're not all the same ones but musically speaking, the CD lacks a bit of variation between each songs. If you listen to the first track "Ride Me In Hell" and then listen to the second one "We're Gonna Celebrate" it's possible that you'll ask to yourself if you're no listening to the same riff? But well, the production is really cool and the three covers of AC/DC are a really nice "bonus" for a demo. No doubt, the guys of Boneshaker are good musicians and they're able to play a cool bluesy Hard Rock which doesn't lack of energy and anger and their singer Chris, is a good singer with a voice a la Bon Scott!

If you like AC/DC and all the other bands like LA Guns, "Ride Me In Hell" is a good release. It's not really easy for the bands which play this kind of music to become famous nowadays but Boneshaker is a good formation and it seems that they're really good live, so who know maybe that we will hear something great about them in a near future. Boneshaker is a name that the French (and why not the others) fans of Hard Rock will have to remember.
