When you look at Death Metal, most would think all extreme growls and stuff like that. "As Evil As Me" EP released in 2005 introduces a new addition to the band, Maria Seeburger as vocals. Jeremiah is still the vocalist for the band as well, but in this case, Maria provides the clean vocals to the songs. This gives the band a whole new approach in the metal scene, changing from Death Metal to Melodic Death Metal.

Compared to their previous album, "Indulge In The Macabre" that was released in 1996, you will also find a change in the song structures to give it a more melodic approach. Maria's vocals give the songs a whole new feeling while Jeremiah's vocals still deliver the death metal feeling. I will be honest that when I got this EP and gave it a few listens I wasn't extremely pleased with it, but I also was not disappointed in it which was because I was not used to listening to Death Metal with a female clean vocalist along with a Death Metal vocalist. The addition of Maria will sometimes partially decrease the energy given off in the music, the reason being that on certain times when Maria's vocals come in, it completely changes the mood of the song to a more mellow feeling, as in the song "As Evil As Me" for example.

This EP gives us a taste for what approach the band has been taking with three songs. Maria makes a big difference for the band, while the rest of the band still continues to deliver their musicianship.
