A little list series where I list my top 20 favorite metal albums every year starting from the year I was born in.
1992, was another great year the biggest surprise for me from this year was the amount of solid thrash metal releases that came out around this time when the classic sound of this genera was on its last leg, and again I respect pantera more than I enjoy there music. My favorite non metal albums from 1992 1.Slanted and Enchanted By Pavement (Lo-Fi, Indie Rock)  2. The Chronic By Dr. Dre (West Coast Hip Hop, Gangsta Rap)  3. Dry By PJ Harvey (Alternative Rock, Singer-Songwriter, Grung)  4.Love Deluxe By Sade (Soul, Sophisti-Pop)  5. Automatic for the People By R.E.M. (Alternative Rock, Pop Rock)  My favorite movie from 1992

Now that I am at it, I am going to comment on this year as well, the last one of your lists in this series I have not yet commented on  -- nice idea for lists by the way.1992 was an excellent year in metal if you ask me. My top albums are: 1. Blind Guardian - Somewhere far beyond 2. Tiamat - Clouds 3. Bolt Thrower - The IVth crusade 4. Demolition Hammer - Epidemic of violence 5. Dream Theater - Images and words 6. Dark Millennium - Ashore the celestial burden 7. Alice in Chains - Dirt 8. Danzig - How the Gods kill 9. Iron Maiden - Fear of the dark 10. Rage against the machine - Rage against the machine 11. At the Gates - The red in the sky is ours 12. Running Wild - Pile of skulls 13. Pantera - Vulgar display of power 14. Paradise Lost - Shades of God 15. Malevolent Creation - Retribution
