Definitely an odd album following up such a straightforward aggressive release, but the mid-paced sense of groove and catchy melodies still give this album the bite it needs to keep the listener entertained. This has a much stronger punk vibe than any other release under this name, and it works. Kind of what I was expecting from Satyricon eventually when they started slowing things down, but they'd never delve into thrash.
