Personal information
Born on: 16.05.1965
Scott Reeder (born May 16, 1965 in Pomona, California) is a bass player formerly of the stoner rock band Kyuss. He joined Kyuss after the departure of Nick Oliveri and remained there until the band went on indefinite hiatus in October 1995, when Josh Homme went on to form Queens of the Stone Age. Reeder reunited with former Kyuss singer John Garcia to form Unida, a stoner rock band which only released one full-length album before running into legal problems.
In 1996, Reeder just missed becoming the new bass player for the popular band Tool, the reason rumoured to be his preference of finger-style bass playing, instead of a pick-style, which would be more appropriate for that band.
He covered a Kyuss song, "Demon Cleaner", on stage with Tool in 1998.
Reeder recorded and coproduced the album "00VOID" for the band Sunn O))) at Grandmaster studios, Hollywood.
