It's born in 1992 in Fermo (AP). After a hit of formation problems, a first line-up begins making concerts, and tries the first recording of a demo-tape, but considered the difficulties of production caused by local recording studio. They decide to print not the tape, but in the meantime they have the first formation change: the singer "Saverio" leave the band. With the new singer "Germano", they have been recording, between 1995-1996, their first official demo-tape/ 5 songs "HELLBRINGER". The demo receives good review, specially in foreign countries, and most of all in Germany, but a year a half later in October, while the band reached a contract with a house of production, ready to sign the first discography contract, "Fabio F." leaves the boys and in a little time his brother "Luciano" and the singer "Germano" follow his example.

The band fastly replaces the missing, calling Deliverance's guitarists and a new vocalist "Dex". So, in a year they're ready to record "Gargoyle", the second demo, that repairs the situations with Italian Producers. While the various band's activities goon, they are another missing: Gianluca M. (bass player) leaves the band, like years ago made the others. But when Riccardo R. (new guitarist) became an S.M., the band begins again from the start. In two years S.M. has got ten new songs and some of the old, so they can repair live activity. In 2003, formation quakes because the new bass player "Lorenzo P." goes away but is fastly replaced. Now, while they wait for a contact, they also go on with "live" projects.

In 2004 the new promo cd exits: "My Daemons". It includes three cover songs of The Maiden from "Be Quick or Be Dead" and, also in this case, it receives good reviews both in Italy and in many overseas Web Zine. Thanks to this new promo cd the Band makes a contract with AB Record, from Liguria Region. Under this label exits Our First Album "12th level", that already receives good reviews from The Italian press and from several overseas Web sites (South America, Usa, Europe...).

At the same time the Scala Mercalli exhibits in live like backing band with: Extrema, Rain, Lacuna Coil, Shaaman, Blaze.
