Negură Bunget - interesting. I wonder if they'll be able to play songs from "Om", etc...

I wonder if they'll play at all...

I wonder if they'll play at all...

Hahaha yes. Although I didn't know them anywhere near as much as I do now in October at Damnation.

No idea what their problem is. They cancelled their performance at Forum Obscurum festival here in Germany, they cancelled their appearance at Damnation Festival in Leeds (at which I was supposed to see them), they cancelled their participation in the Satyricon tour (at which I was supposed to see them) and I wouldn't be surprised if they cancelled some more gigs of which I haven't heard yet.

Yeh, the UK Deathfest is put on by the same people as Damnation Festival - so this is obviously a "take 2" attempt.

Going to this and can't wait to see Wormrot. Also hope Atrocity Exhibit win the forum vote for the extra place on the bill. Saw them the other week and they were ace!

Times added.

Ticket sales have been very bad, and it looks like this is going to be the last UK Deathfest - unfortunately.

Amputated and negura bunget were thoroughly good... other than that, the attendance wasn't as good as last year... some fucker stole my beer and another fucker kicked another beer over when i wasn't looking... dunno if this deathfest was worth the journey up to leeds to be honest... other than the two bands i mentioned.

Wormrot and Negura Bunget were really cool. Rest was a bit dull. And as for the security, what a bizarre attitude. No barriers to stop people getting on stage, but when people got up there they were pushed off by guards. And during Brujeria people were allowed to get onstage and were then ejected if the security were able to get hold of them. Right bunch of little Hitlers.

Yeh. Well, I thought this year was better than last. I really enjoyed the day.
Pictures are up now, I will try and write the review as soon as I can - but I am very busy this week.
Amputated, Negura Bunget and Immolation were my favourites...

Probably will be, I know Gav made a loss on Damnation last year. Whilst he is willing to make a managable loss on one festival I doubt he is willing to do it on two.
