This year, Ancient are finally releasing a new album, Back To The Land Of The Dead. The Norwegian extreme metal titans have set the release date for their long awaited 7th studio album, the follow up to 2004's Night Visit. The album will be released this September 16th in North America via (Megadeth bassist David Ellefson's) EMP Underground/EMP Label Group, and in the rest of the world by Soulseller Records. The band has released the first new track "Land Of The Dead" for streaming on Bandcamp. Listen to it!

Norwegian black metal titans Ancient have announced that Ghiulz Borroni, esteemed shredder of extreme metal scene and lead guitarist of the cult band Bulldozer, has been recruited as their live session guitarist. The band is also about to release the new album Back To The Land Of The Dead in late December 2015/January 2016.

The new opus is entitled Back To The Land Of The Dead and now they have revealed the cover artwork and a tentative release date for around May 2015. You can view the artwork below. Last December, it was revealed that Norwegian black metallers Ancient were working on their seventh album to finally follow Night Visit (2004). Recently, the band updated on that. Their comeback album is being recorded and will be called Chapter VII: Back From The Land Of The Dead, for a release around September.
