Death thrashers Cancer have apparently parted ways with drummer Gabriel Valcázar as they are looking for a permanent replacement. As they have stated, the new musician must be based in Madrid or other parts of Spain (Portugal is also possible).

British death metal legends Cancer just recently announced that they have parted ways with two of their founding members, bassist Ian Buchanan and drummer Carl Stokes, leaving guitarist and vocalist John Walker as the sole remaining original member. Their respective replacements are Daniel Maganto (bass) and Gabriel Valcázar (drums) and the new lineup intends to start working on a new album, which will be their first since 2018's Shadow Gripped.

Following their return with 2018's Shadow Gripped album, British death metal veterans Cancer will be releasing new tunes this summer. The band will unleash 5-track EP, titled Ballcutter, on July 19th. The classical line-up of Cancer, consisting of singer and rhythm guitarist John Walker, drummer Carl Stokes, bassist Ian Buchanan and lead guitarist Barry Savage, will reunite in order to help promote the re-release of their first trio of albums by Cyclone Empire Records. It has not been confirmed which festivals the band will appear at, though it has been stated that they will only be playing material from the three early albums.
