Starr was Alice In Chains' first bass player and was a part of the line-up from 1987 till 1993. He appeared on the band's first two albums, Facelift and Dirt, but left in the middle of the "Dirt Tour" and was replaced by current bassist Mike Inez.
Back in April 1994, Starr was sentenced to 30 days in the Houston jail for misdemeanor drug possession. More recently in 2009, Starr appeared on the third season of "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew" - one of VH1's bizarre reality series. Last month, he was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance. Salt Lake City cops said he had 6 Xanax pills and 6 Opana (painkiller) pills when he was busted.

Wow. Guy got into trouble a lot. I suppose it could have been worse though. I mean, he could have spent the rest of this post-Layne Staley-era-AIC life dickin' around with Nickelback and Creed like Jerry Cantrell.
