Quiet Riot - New Singer Announced

US hard-rockers Quiet Riot have announced via Facebook that Scott Vokoun is the band's new singer.

The band issued the following statement: "I spoke several weeks ago with my friend and vocalist Keith St. John to once again thank him for lending his talents to Quiet Riot during our time of need. Keith stepped in on very short notice so that Quiet Riot could meet our live dates in February. Keith knocked it out of the park with great vocals and performances and we are forever in his debt. Quiet Riot takes this opportunity to introduce our new vocalist Scott Vokoun and we look forward to seeing all of you on tour!"

They really need to stop. It just isn't Quiet Riot anymore. Kev is dead. Why keep HIS band going? I know they did some stuff with Paul Shortino in the 80s, but I'm not entirely sure that should have been under the Quiet Riot name, either. I could almost understand if this was the Metal Health line-up, plus a new singer, and maybe under the name "Metal Health" or something...

I wouldn't even care if Frank's new band JUST played Quiet Riot songs on tour under a different name, I think that'd be fine. But it just ain't Quiet Riot without Kev, sorry.
