There's a fuckton of pop influence in this song, which some people might enjoy (as it's more "fun" for certain people), but I personally can't stand. I really...really......really hated this.

And sadly for DSO, while the song's good, it can't compare with Devin and Anneke either...

This is essentially orchestral disco metal. How isn't this avant-garde? Anyway, I loved it. The new singer sounds great; better than the previous one, IMO, but maybe because I never found the excessively operatic vocals especially pleasant. New album should easily be as good as Pandora's Pinata if this is the quality to expect.

22.10.2014 - 16:30 Written by FYA on 21.10.2014 at 20:47 Except this is disco? There's still a difference mate. Not to mention I just have to say how beautiful it is to see people using "pop" as an insult again, as if a pop sound has never been done right before. But yeah, disco =/= pop. Gotta love how quickly people enjoy jumping to conclusions like this.

First time I hear their new vocalist... Well, you never actually like a new vocalist the first time (except Floor Jansen with Nightwish, but that doesn't count), so I'll just focus on the music. It's ah, good, but any song on Pandora's Pinata is better than that, so I hope the album as a whole is gonna be more solid. As a fan of the band since their debut, I expect it to be.

30.10.2014 - 03:49 Written by PocketMetal on 21.10.2014 at 21:03 Re-listened to this again. I'm liking the general idea behind it besides a few things - a) they are trying to do too much. Sure, they have more members, but that doesn't mean everybody has got to be playing at the same time. This has been a (slight) problem I felt in the the last album and this song and b) Kristin has an awesome voice, BUT I can't help but feel that something is off in the chorus. Still. It just... hurts. I don't know what it is. It just makes me cringe, the same way nails on a blackboard does. It's really annoying because I like the melodies.

Haters are going to hate. All I have to say is that this band is amazing and this song is great! I think the new singer will launch the band further then they even think.
