Goatsnake - Reveal Details Of Upcoming Album
This year will see the release of a new Goatsnake album. It's quite an occasion because the doom/stoner metal quartet hasn't released a new album since 2000's Flower Of Disease. Their first full-length in fifteen years is entitled Black Age Blues, and shall be released via Southern Lord on June 2nd, 2015. Take a look at the front cover below as well as tracklist and more.
Appearing on the album intro to "Another River To Cross" is acoustic guitar courtesy of David Pajo (Slint, Aerial M, Papa M), the track also containing previously released recordings from Goatsnake's "The River." Piano is played by Mathias Schneeberger and Petra Haden contributes violin and vocals. Another addition to the album, across multiple tracks, are backing vocals by Dem Preacher's Daughters: Wendy Moten, Gale Mayes and Andrea Merrit.
