Dekadent - Re-Recording Select Early Works
For those of you eagerly awaiting a new release from symphonic black metallers Dekadent, you might be interested to hear that, in the meanwhile, the band plans on polishing some of their older tunes for a special release.
Here's a statement from the band: "Dekadent is about to go retrospective, by that I mean we decided to re-record some of our early works to which production and performance didn't do complete justice. We are not talking about a full album re-recording but a narrow selection of songs from our first two albums Manifestation Of Seasonal Bleeding and The Deliverance Of The Fall. With competent musicians on board, I truly believe this will be a worthy release for all our fans, while I personally believe it is something Dekadent's old beautiful tunes deserve. We all want them to sound massive, we want them to shine!
"The recording sessions are scheduled for the end of April. If everything goes well, I think we should be done with everything by the end of May or early June latest."

While getting more Dekadent to listen to is always a good thing, this is not a release i"m looking forward to, since veritas was their album with the by far worst production in terms of fitting the music while their first 2 albums weren"t sounding as clear as could be, what they got out of it augments their flowing, and uplifting sound with veritas on the other hand the bassier tone allows barely any of that positivity to shine through, that piece of beauty even in the otherwise bleakest situation that makes their melodies stand out is now killed in the mix, and the loud bottom end of the snare cuts the flow into pieces the production may now be technically much better, but fighting their sound at every step so, in my opinion the only album of theirs needing a rerecording is veritas
