Dutch 80's heavy metal act Emerald have lost their original bassist Essie Zagers. The band only released one album, Down Town, back in 1985. Rest in peace.

Emerald posted this message on Facebook: "On 15-11-2016 we said farewell to our wonderful friend and extraordinary bass player Ernst 'Essie' Zagers. You will live forever in in our hearts and in our music. Tears release the pain that words cannot express and the soul can't bare, see you on the other side Essie. 04-10-1963 / 08-11-2016."
