Diablo Swing Orchestra - Unveil New Album Title

The Swedish masters of both swing and metal Diablo Swing Orchestra are alive and kicking and have shared the title of their long-awaited fourth full-length album with their fans. Pacifisticuffs, that's what we're going to see on the cover of the new disc. The album is expected to be released in 2017. According to band's last year entries in social networks, a reworked version of "Jigsaw Hustle", 2014 single, will be presented on the album.

One of the most dreadful album waits I ever experienced. Handled very poorly.

Hoping they drop the ridiculous circus metal thing and make something really avant-garde for once. Maybe like Fantomas. That said, the title(?) is intriguing.

The chances of that happening are pretty slim, since they were never like that. It was never truly avante-garde, since it was a mix of mostly popular or mainstream genres, or at least mainstream aspects of world genres. For example, the first single they released, two ears ago, was their typical modern hard rock band infused with disco.

I doubt they'll even release an album close to their debut again.

I don't know what you guys mean by "really avantgarde" though... If unexpected genre fusion isn't avantgarde metal I don't know what is. It's the most avantgarde you get since it's something you don't see everyday.

Ya that's bad. Their debut is the only album I truly like and enjoy.

I dunno, it felt avante-garde the first two times. By the third album felt formulaic and by the numbers, and I can't really consider anything that is formulaic to be avante-garde or progressive. Just my opinion, though. First two albums I definitely consider avante-garde.

Their first two were excellent; the third I loved the production but it felt more safe and predictable. And way too much of that whiny guy singer...where did that operatic bass singer from the previous album go?

I'm not expecting much from this album, especially with the new female singer, but I'll give it a listen when it comes out. It's about damn time.
