Reflection - Confirmed For Malta Doom Metal Fest 2018

The Malta Doom Festival is an annual event in the small Mediterranean island of Malta. And this year, the festival organizers decided go old school and announce the line up on a radio show. The new bands confirmed are Greek metallers Reflection and Swedish necrotic blasphemers Necrophobic.

Organizers say about each band:

Reflection:
The mighty Hellas is once more our esteemed port of call for our next band announcement. Few bands capture the essence and glory of Hellenic epic heavy metal like Reflection. With their origins dating back to the early 90s and four majestic full length albums under their belts, Reflection are no strangers to Malta having graced our shores with a very memorable show some years back supporting their previous epic doom tinged and widely acclaimed album When Shadows Fall (2008) during Leo Stivala's (Forsaken) stint with the band as singer and frontman. The band will be returning to Malta hot on the heels of last year's killer album Bleed Babylon Bleed replete with tales of glory and heroism, fantastic song-writing and some crushing epic heavy doom metal riffage from Stathis Pavlantis and co. Now fronted by George Thomaidis, Reflection are indeed also a force to be reckoned with on stage, leaving no stone unturned while executing exceptionally crafted true metal. It is thus with good reason that MDM proudly announces this historic band as our next addition to what is already building up into a 10th anniversary line-up of mammoth proportions.

Necrophobic:
We are elated to announce that Necrophobic - the Swedish masters of unbridled old school Black Death primeval darkness - will be one of our headlining acts at MDM X. With a discography going back to the late 80s, 3 EPs and 8 full length albums (including this year's Mark Of The Necrogram scheduled for release this February on Century Media), Necrophobic stand as one the genre's absolute gems that have never strayed from the sanctified path of olde. Spawned from the Womb of Lilithu herself, bringing Death to All, we can all expect Necrophobic to spew a set of blistering Bloodhymns to the dismay of whimpering poseurs who will scream and (uselessly) beg for mercy when these apocalyptic horsemen take the stage! Hell yeah!
