In August, rumors of AC/DC being in the studio began to circulate. Shortly after, photos surfaced of vocalist Brian Johnson and drummer Phil Rudd together outside Vancouver's Warehouse Studios, which is where the last three AC/DC albums were recorded.
JAM Magazine reported: "We are hearing from a reliable source inside the AC/DC camp that Angus Young is working on a new AC/DC album that will be dedicated to his brother, the late Malcolm Young. Here's the exciting part... the new recordings will include Malcolm Young playing rhythm guitar on ALL TRACKS! Turns out, five years prior to the Black Ice LP, AC/DC's 15th studio release, Angus and Malcolm Young lived to together where they literally wrote hundreds of songs, many were recorded and have been stashed away until now. Angus has decided to selected the best tracks from those recordings that Malcolm played on and is now back in the studio recording and mixing them with fellow band mates Phil Rudd, Cliff Williams and yes, Brian Johnson on vocals. Not sure when the release date will be announced but this should give all the Hardcore AC/DC fans a hard on!"

I mean, sure, pay some tribute to Malcolm if you got some unused tracks, but this feels like a fucking cashgrab. At least Axl isn't on vocals

Who fucking cares if sounds the same, their vibe will never die. They've already done it more than enough...as long as they live, make some music, and possibly tour around the world, that's just a positive thing for the music in general.

I keep wondering whether you can possibly listen to several of their songs and see when one ends and another starts. Really, I know they are big guys and make loud music but to me they have always sounded so bland. Keeps getting on my nerves whenever someone hears AC/DC playing and shouts at me : hey, metal, you're going to love it !

100s of unreleased songs huh... their doing to acdc what they did with jimi hendrix, so i expect there will be multiple releases in the future

I really hope they get the mastering right this time because their last album was so badly mixed and had such lifeless drums rendering it unlistenable compare to the rest of their catalogue
