The Meads Of Asphodel have shared a new track from their upcoming Split EP with Chinese folk metal band Song Of Chu, Imperial East-West Onslaught. The track is called "Gods At War" and the band posted a video on their YouTube channel of them recording the song. You can watch below.

Sounds pleasingly like Meads. I'm still more excited for the full length at this point, as that's where the experimental fun will be, but this should tide me over.

Same here, time will tell if that's actually the case though. If you watched the vid the band shared earlier about the EP and new full length, Metatron was saying in it that he originally went at the new album planning it to be the finale in a trilogy including TMOJTJ and Sonderkommando, but that he couldn't think of a final unifying theme to tie it all together and it actually ended up coming out more like the early Meads material. I think the full length may end up being a bit of a surprise sound wise then, considering that, but hopefully a pleasant one
