Short yet exciting news are coming from Ayreon camp. The band, led by Arjen Lucassen, will be releasing new record (probably sometimes this year) with the sharing title Transitus. That's all. Stay tuned for more details coming soon.

The last two albums weren't his best works but I'll always get excited for the release of an Ayreon album.
At the very least it'll be interesting to check out the lineup.

I think it is nearly impossible to beat The Human Equation, so I don't mind at all, if it won't be his best work

The Human Equation is a 10 in my book so you won't get any argument for me. Arjen set the standard so high...

The Source was a good album. I, as many of you, have my expectations. One thing that brought down The Source, and T.T.O.E., were some lackluster vocalist performances. I know that Arjen can do a much better job in that aspect. Here's to a memorable experience

I'm excited to hear more Ayreon, I agree with previous mentions that The Source and Theory weren't the best of his. I hold The Final Experiment and Actual Fantasy as my favourites of his but I'm still hopeful to get some good turns out of this.
He seriously needs to get another Guilt Machine out door already.

I haven't listened to Ayreon in quite some time. The last two albums didn't do much for me so I kinda gave up on Arjen. I will listen to the new album, just simple curiosity.

I really liked the 1st CD on Source but I just couldn't get into the 2nd one. Hopefully this one will be more consistently excellent

Soo... I'm judging by the crosses, some sort of religious/holy war theme?

The Reformation, maybe?

The last time he presented a 'first track', my Ayreon focus was completely derailed by the discovery of solo genius Mike Mills (Toehider). Having introduced Mike on 'The Source, AAL kicked the door wide open for my obsession with Toehider.

Over on the patreon/patreon only discord community, people are asking about the new Ayreon album. Mike is keeping his lips sealed. This leads me to believe he is (thank goodness) once again involved. No news is good news

It's that time again? Time for another Ayreon album that is nearly identical to previous albums? I re-visited their back catalogue last week, listening to every album back to back, two times in a row (work from home has its advantages). All albums are strikingly similar. The same song structures, riffs, keyboard passages, vocal lines/melodies, and, worst of all, painfully cringy role-playing on most albums. It's the same album over and over again. The only exception being Universal Migrator, and that's the only album I really like.
