Raphael's voice is obviously impressive and I guess the rest of band are more than proficient but, they need to improve their songwriting, for now the 2 singles are meh material.

Which is a shame because I wanted this to be good.

Abattoir took som liberties editing my text a bit and removed the part about Sergio Mazul of gothic metal band Semblant and Marcelo Gelbcke of hard rock band Landfall writing the album together with Raphael. So there are some established musicians involved in the song writing. I think they managed to capture the 80's heavy metal sound they were going for exemplary. They are gonna be a great addition to the heavy metal scene even though they most certainly will get some criticism for sounding too much like Maiden. But if you like Maiden what's not to like about Icon Of sin? It's more of the good stuff.

They don't sound that much like Maiden to me (apart from Raphael's voice obviously). I would'nt mind a bit more of Maiden in the guitars

My criticism is that they sound like a generic Frontiers band.
