Storm Corrosion - Debut Album To Be Reissued With Bonus Material

This new 2024 edition of Storm Corrosion features a bonus track "Drag Ropes Live" recorded when Mikael guested with Steven and his band at London’s Royal Albert Hall in September 2015, the only song they have performed live to date.

Well... Considering that there's been 12 years already since the first release, this reissue looks to me like an excuse for the absence of new music. I mean, the first release was stellar, production wise. Reissue something that was already perfect!... 😅

Agree 100%. Not sure what Åkerfeldt it's been doing this whole time. 5 years now waiting for the new Opeth album and their last was pre covid, almost every musician used this time during the pandemic to create new music.

He did the soundtrack for Clark and did another soundtrack for a film that has yet to be revealed. Opeth's new album is complete as well (and just announced), so it's safe to say he kept busy.

I wonder if he kept busy with the right projects?... 🤔
