Statement from the band's FB page: "With a sad and heavy heart we inform you of the passing of our friend and bandmate William Nijhof. His death was sudden and unexpected and it has left a hole in our lives. William joined Faal in 2009 as our frontman. His vocals added the doom and brutality that we needed for our sound and we are extremely proud to have shared the stage with him.
"On behalf of his family, we thank you for your condolences; they will be passed on to his family. If you have any pictures you’d like to share, you can email these to [email protected]. Thank you all for your support throughout the years. William was well-known and loved by many, so let’s raise a glass (or 2) in his memory.
