"Despite rumours and announcements to the contrary, Sonata Arctica are NOT going to play at Adria Rock Festival in Ni?/Serbia on May 29th 2008.
Note: All officially announced gigs can be found at http://www.sonataarctica.info as soon as they are confirmed. If the band is announced to play anywhere and you cannot find the information on the official website, don't believe it."
The festival flyer looks as follows, [Link]. But also second headliner Hanoi Rocks are NOT confirmed to play the festival, as the Adria Rock Fest is not mentioned on the band's tour agenda on their official website.
According to some Serbian inside sources, it's possible that this whole festival is a scam, or at least they're trying to misguide people by putting well-known bands on the bill. [DISCLAIMER: this last paragraph does not necessarily represent the point of view of the Metal Storm Staff]

It is a scam. In the meantime it was revealed that neither Hanoi Rocks nor "Animals & Eric Burden" will NOT come, as well as few other bands. Italian band 'The Foreshadowing' was tricked into buying airplane tickets for Serbia, but now noone from the organisations answers to their calls. There were negotiations with Sonata Arctica few months ago, but there was never an agreement, since promoter never paid any money to their management. This is not the first time that something like this happens in Serbia, year or two ago also very similar thing happened, and they never returned any money (The festival was never held, it was just a scam to take money from tickets. Same here.) I JUST WAN'T TO SAY THAT THERE ARE SOME SERIOUS AND RESPONSIBLE PROMOTERS IN SERBIA, WHO CAN BE TRUSTED BY THE BANDS AND MANAGEMENTS !! BUT THIS KINDA OF IDIOTS MAKES ME SICK ! Btw there will be two metal festivals in Serbia this summer, with fantastic bands and serious promoters.
