Slaughter To Prevail released Grizzly on July 18 of 2025; this made many fans get excited, as Kostolom was well received by the fanbase. This also made newcomers (I was one of them) check out their newest album in hopes of enjoying good music; however, when I checked this album I was very disappointed, but I was not sure why. After recently re-listening to it, I figured out why me and many others did not like this album, to the point that I'd consider it one of 2025's most disappointing records, so let's get into it. Still a fun album, although tracks like Imdead pull the album down. And compared to its predecessor, which was full of head-scratching moments, this album pales in comparison. Despite all this, it's still a nice listen that's a change from all the black or death metal albums we mostly listen to the rest of the year.

Jeez the English lyrics are rough, but ultimately I didn't hate it for the most part. Definitely felt front-loaded though.

As someone who actually likes the genre: this is patently terrible. Just lost two hours of my life (because I physically couldn’t sit through it in one go  ), my appetite, and possibly a few brain cells trying to make it through. A complete trainwreck of messy, uninspired, wildly inconsistent songwriting, overloaded with overused gimmicks and edgelord posturing.
