US-based symphonic deathcore band A Wake In Providence has announced the departure of their frontman, Adam Mercer. Mercer, who joined the band in 2018 after the exit of former vocalist Will Ramos – who later took over as the lead singer of Lorna Shore – has officially left the group.

For anyone interested, Adam Mercer apparently can’t sit still and has already formed a new band called DeathStroke. Their first two tracks, "Fade" and "Burden of Light", are absolute heavy-hitters. A good (read: nasty) mix of slam/brutal death metal and deathcore. Not sure I could stomach an entire album of this, but as an in-between snack, it’s the perfect quick fix of face-melting brutality.
