Once I got to "Windows Are Weeping" I thought of Nightwish for a moment. A few days later discovered featured Troy Donockley.

Before puting this on I haven't realised how much I missed this mid 2000s Gothic metal/rock. Not only nostalgic, but really well written. As for this genre - top standart!

This album has higher value as you think, great great xomd back ,pick up suomi metal as they left ,makes you younger as yone traveleling back yo youth whit out hair cut snd fancy modern show pants. I will remeber this in the end.

OMG for real

Solid release and I am really hyped to see them return after such a long time. Unfortunately, the album is not on the same level as their debut one imo.

I mean, it's not as good as their first release, neither is good as Eternal Tears of Sorrow, still gave me all the "feels" of early 2000s... solid.

At best, I don't understand this subgenre. Maybe it's because I'm from a tropical country. This album has nothing going for it.

After few more listens, I can confirm - this is a magical nostalgia pill. Isle of Solitude and Recoil Into Darkness just throws me back to my teenage years, with all the gothic clothes I was wearing and wondering in the snowy/autumnly forests of my hometown. Ahhhh the young days.

Had to wait for a few days for this album to sink in. On first listen sounded like a 10 ( for me always ) due to the fact that I have listened to the first album countless times the past decades and this sounds exactly where they left us.

On a technical way, they stepped up on parts that were missing in the last album. They added better solos (Hungry for Desire), Juha took his voice to higher level closer to his true (Reflexion) potential. The sound alignment between drums and bass is astonishing (in parts where there are just the two playing).

For a genre that has not given any albums for many years now, this is an excellent return but I hope the next album will not be in 2049! This is becoming worse than Tool! )

I also found that title quite amusing! Overall I didn’t think much of this one. The instrumentation is pretty solid throughout with the distinctive Finnish sound, if not a bit generic. But the vocals and lyrics dragged this down tremendously, and I think style usually needs some good hooks or something to make the songs stand out and I didn’t find any that here.

I agree with you on this one. This sounds much better than I expected. I loved the first album, and I wasn't expecting much after so many years, but it's actually very good.

Yes and they are not young anymore, odler people often ha sharder to put damn good music when it comes from emotional side. Norden bands somehow often in some way do it
If only Sentenced would reunite whit new album
