Which musician do you prefer of these two. Both have taken the horror theme upon themselves and their music through the years, but who dose it better?

I prefer King Diamond largely because I find him to be the better songwriter

I prefer King Diamond as well, for the same reason. His music has a lot more substance to it. I also think he's a much better vocalist.

I'd have to say Rob Zombie, King Diamond's voice is just to annoying, Zombie's is outstanding.

No Marcel, not even close. I can listen to Halford for hours. King Diamond gets an album at most before I have to listen to something else. If he didn't write such fantastic music, I wouldn't listen to him at all.

For this poll, King Diamond gets the edge because of his writing skills more than anything else. Rob Zombie's music is a lot of fun, but a lot of King Diamond's is compelling.

While i have a strong preferance for King Diamond, I think Zombie is a very good movie director. As for his band, well Hellbilly Delux was one of my favorite albums of all, and yet it is the only album of his that I really like. The rest just seem very shallow.

I'd vote if there was actually a point of comparisson.

Diamond every time. The guy is a legend. Not a Rob Zombie fan so the choice was too easy for me. I've got nothing against the guy, just not a fan.

My votes on king Diamond. With every one of his albums, you have to listen to from start to finish, leaving each album entertaining in itself. Besides, Rob Zombie just been going further and further downhill over the years

I think it's rather obvious. C'mon, mercyful fate and king diamond?

No, Halford's voice is amazing, if Diamond sang half as good as Halford, Mercyful Fate and his solo stuff would be a lot better, it's not I dislike his stuff but if he didn't try and sound like a castrated soprano maybe it would be more enjoyable.

I like zombie's band better (i prefer diamond with mercyful fate), but king diamond is a better song writer/artist

IMO both King n Rob's voice is anoying, I cant stand both even I like king when I was at 16 something, but I like read his epic lyric stories or small horror filom stories, maybe best concept albums stories ever , dunno who can write better

This has to be one of thee dumbest polls I've seen yet. Why not do Metal vs. Madonna? King Diamond is one of fathers of black metal and Rob Zombie has done what exactly musically? I'm actually surprised the admins even let this poll fly.

King Diamond for me. Rob Zombie is good, too, but I definitely like more of King's stuff.

I used to like Rob Zombie a lot.. I still like him. He's cool in my opinion.. And also beside music, his films (the first two of them) were cool films.

Rob Zombie was on MTV's CRIBS!!! Suck on that King Diamond!

Just Kidding. King Diamond is better.

Gonna have to go with the King here too. His voice is amazing, and he is an excellent songwriter.

You're not kidding... just watched Halloween 2, the guy definitely suffers from overconfidence. Oh wait... never mind, it was just a dream...

I don't see how you can like Painkiller-era Rob Halford and not tolerate King Diamond... almost one in the same.
Oops, this poll is about KD vs RZ, but for that there is no comparison.

It's Diamond in every way...you should even have to explain why.
