The cool thing about Akercocke, whom I've seen for the first time, is that their was nothing in the look of their vocalist that can make you tell he is a metal musician, not to say a brutal death/black metal frontman. No long hair, no corpse paint, no tattoos, no piercing, no weird beard (he is shaved like somebody works for a bank), no metal T-shirt (just a plain black T-shirt), no torn jeans, nothing really apart from the black colour (look at his images above). Yet, he was so br00tal in his performance... this was one of the best bands in the fest, I think.

Well up until very recently that wasn't the case. He had long hair, a moustache and a beard - http://www.earache.com/bands/akercocke/navigation/akercocke_pic.jpg

Yeah, I see. But he's now with nothing of that and still playing his brutal music, which is in some way I find it cool. Sometimes certain things in metal, specially the image, are intended to look abnormal, becomes so much standardized that you would like to see something normal.

Actually his "nonmetal"-outfit is part of a great attitude: he shaved his hair and donated it to a society for people, who suffer of cancer and lost their own hair. I couldn't find any reference for that now, but I am quite sure about that fact.

Wow, I'd really like to see them live as well...

Well.... respect then. I admire such acts.
