The Italian metallers Ecnephias are on a creative roll. After releasing a new album this year called Necrogod, a new opus is already in the works and will be released next year. The new album will be titled Ecnephias and will also feature the homonymous title track, which has the definitive seal of their new style.

The band says about the new album: "The music will surprise you, there will be a heavy dose of dark rock (The Cure, Tiamat), gothic metal (Paradise Lost, Moonspell) and, of course, the usual atmosphere of our 'death doom' style. Damn melancholy and deep, epic. In the next 'opus' you will also find a folk song with a Mediterranean theme music, a dark and atmospheric lullaby of South Italy, vaguely reminiscent of Lost Love Ballad (Lost God). Stay tuned!"

That song is actually quite good. Haven't heard their latest yet release and seriously have to get my hands on that one after seeing that they aren't really bad as they seem on the outside.
