Exciter - Split With Bassist
After guitarist John Ricci stepped down, Exciter's bassist Robert "Clammy" Cohen has now also left the group. According to Exciter, the band will not disband but will take some time off and think about the future. Right now, only drummer Richard "Rik" Charron and singer Kenny "MetalMouth" Winter remain in the band.
The band issued the following statement: "Effective immediately. Exciter has decided to release bassist Rob 'Clammy' Cohen due to differences (both personal and business) regarding the future of the band.
"We ARE NOT disbanding but we will be taking some time to regroup. We apologize to all of our fans for the confusion during this recent turmoil. Rest assured that Exciter will return to Smash and Thrash for all you Heavy Metal Maniacs worldwide. We'll see you on the road. P.S. - For the record, folks. The split was amicable."
